Join the Lane County Master Food Preservers for a hands-on workshop focused on safely pressure canning vegetables at home. Participants will learn how pressure canning works, why it is important for low-acid foods, and the step-by-step process for safely preserving vegetables.
Workshop topics include:
• Understanding pressure canning basics
• Safe food preservation practices
• Preparing vegetables for canning
• Using a pressure canner correctly
• Following tested recipes and guidelines
• Avoiding common canning mistakes
Participants will also receive a free pressure canner dial gauge test. Bring your pressure canner lid or just the dial gauge if you have one.
This interactive class includes hands-on experience canning vegetables alongside the Lane County Master Food Preservers and the opportunity to take home canned vegetables.
