Award-winning singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Rachael Sage is coming to Axe & Fiddle for a free evening of live music in downtown Cottage Grove. The performance begins at 8:00 PM on Friday, September 4, 2026.
Based in New York City, Sage combines Americana, folk and melodic alternative pop with expressive vocals, piano, guitar and deeply personal storytelling. She is a six-time Independent Music Award-winning musician and producer as well as a John Lennon Songwriting Contest Grand Prize winner. Throughout her career, she has shared stages with artists including Ani DiFranco, Rufus Wainwright, Beth Hart, Shawn Colvin and Judy Collins.
For this Cottage Grove appearance, Sage will be accompanied by violinist Kelly Halloran, a longtime member of Sage’s band, The Sequins. The performance will include music connected to Sage’s forthcoming acoustic album, Under My Canopy, which reimagines songs from her 2025 album Canopy through intimate instrumentation and fresh arrangements.
