Science leaves the classroom and heads to the pub during Science on Tap at Axe & Fiddle in downtown Cottage Grove. Hosted by the Coast Fork Willamette Watershed Council, this monthly community gathering combines food, drinks, trivia and an engaging presentation covering a different scientific topic.
Science on Tap gives local residents an approachable way to learn about science, conservation and the natural world while connecting with people who work to understand and protect the Coast Fork Willamette watershed. Guests do not need a scientific background to participate—curiosity and a willingness to learn are all that are required.
The evening also provides an opportunity to learn more about the Watershed Council’s current work and the environmental issues affecting the Cottage Grove area. Food and beverages will be available for purchase from Axe & Fiddle throughout the event.
Admission: Science on Tap is free to attend. According to the current event listing, 10% of drink sales during the event will benefit the Coast Fork Willamette Watershed Council.
Location: Axe & Fiddle Public House, 657 E Main Street, Cottage Grove, Oregon 97424.
