🍽️ For someone who’s never been to The Rose Bar & Restaurant… how would you describe it to them? What kind of experience are they walking into?

The Rose is a really welcoming spot with great food and a friendly atmosphere. We’re a family-friendly restaurant, so kids are always welcome, and it’s just as much a place to sit down for a good meal as it is to grab a drink. It’s a local hangout, everyone knows everyone type of feel.

📖 What’s the story behind how it all started? What made you want to open or take over The Rose?

My dad purchased The Rose Garden in 94. And then Sold in 99. Travis, my little brother happened to hear about potentially The Rose needing someone to take it over. So we jumped on it, and the rest is history. We’ve had The Rose since 2021. We changed the name slightly once we had it, it went from The Rose Garden to The Rose bar & Restaraunt. We felt changing the name would give us a fresh start, along with remodeling the inside.

🔥 What are a few must-try items or drinks that people should absolutely not miss on their first visit?

That’s a hard one! Our famous broasted chicken is a popular choice among many. The Rose burger is one of my favorites, all of our burgers are charbroiled with fresh fries. We can make a mean Bloody Mary!

💭 What do you think keeps people coming back? (food, atmosphere, people, something else?)

Relaxed laid back atmosphere and with it being a restaurant and bar, it offers customers a variety.

👀 Is there anything about your place that people might not know or would surprise them?

That we offer breakfast, lunch and dinner! Often people see us as just a bar.

🫶 What does being voted Business of the Month by the community mean to you?

We’re truly grateful for the support from this community. Being recognized means a lot to us, because this place wouldn’t be what it is without everyone’s support. Thank you all for supporting local, we appreciate it greatly!

🌲 What’s something not widely known about you or the business that you’d like people to know?

All the wood work except for the blue pine was milled in a miser mill, locally cut up Rock Creek, Drain. The back bar that holds our liquor, was brought in a covered wagon.

Travis and I greatly appreciate everyone’s votes—it truly means a lot to us. We’re grateful for the continued support and look forward to welcoming new faces while continuing to serve this amazing community.
