Looking for something fun to do in Cottage Grove while supporting a local organization? The Cottage Grove Area Chamber of Commerce is hosting a Bowling FUNdraiser on Saturday, November 21, 2026, from 7 PM to 10 PM at Cottage Bowl!

And if bowling isn't your thing, there's still a way to get involved without having to pick up a bowling ball.
The Chamber is offering three-person team registrations for $100 per team, along with $25 lane sponsorships for those who want to support the fundraiser without bowling.

The event is scheduled for three hours on Saturday evening, giving participants an opportunity to enjoy some bowling while supporting the Chamber.
Grab Two Friends and Form a Bowling Team!
One of the main ways to participate is by registering a team of three.
The Chamber has announced a registration price of $100 per three-person team.
Whether you're putting together a group of friends, family members, or coworkers, this could be a fun excuse to get everyone together for a Saturday night out.
Local business owners might also consider putting together a team with their employees or fellow business owners.
And you don't necessarily need to be an experienced bowler to be interested. Sometimes half the fun is seeing which one of your friends manages to throw the most gutter balls.
The Chamber hasn't published specific competition rules, handicap requirements, or an official prize structure for the event, so anyone with questions about the bowling format should contact the organizers before registering.
Don't Want to Bowl? Sponsor a Lane for $25!
Here's something especially worth mentioning for our local business community.
You don't have to bowl to support the fundraiser!
The Chamber is offering lane sponsorships for just $25.
That gives people who would rather stay off the lanes another way to contribute to the event.
It's also an option local businesses may want to explore if they're interested in supporting a Chamber fundraiser.
The official announcement doesn't yet explain what recognition or promotional benefits are included with a lane sponsorship.
If you're considering sponsoring a lane for your business, I'd recommend contacting the Chamber to ask about those details before signing up.
Supporting the Cottage Grove Area Chamber of Commerce
The Cottage Grove Area Chamber of Commerce works to promote local businesses, provide community information, and help connect people with the Cottage Grove area.
The Chamber also maintains a business directory and community events calendar, promotes local attractions, and provides opportunities for businesses to connect.
This bowling fundraiser gives residents and businesses a way to support the organization while spending an evening together.
The Chamber hasn't published a specific fundraising goal or a breakdown of how proceeds from this event will be allocated.
Why Events Like This Matter for Cottage Grove
Something I enjoy about our community is seeing local businesses and organizations come together outside of their usual day-to-day work.
Not every gathering needs to be a formal meeting, presentation, or networking event.
Sometimes it's nice to get together, have some fun, and meet people you might not otherwise run into.
A bowling fundraiser is a chance to do exactly that.
Whether you're a business owner looking to bring your employees out for the evening, a group of friends wanting something different to do, or someone interested in supporting the Chamber, it's another local event worth knowing about.
Where Is Cottage Bowl?
The event takes place at Cottage Bowl, 740 Row River Road in Cottage Grove, Oregon.
Cottage Bowl is a local bowling center offering recreational bowling and organized bowling activities.
The venue also advertises cosmic bowling and Monte Carlo bowling as part of its regular programming.
However, those activities are not specifically confirmed as part of the Chamber's November 21 fundraiser.

Can You Attend Without Bowling or Sponsoring?
The Chamber specifically advertises team registration and lane sponsorships.
However, the current announcement doesn't provide a separate spectator admission policy.
If you'd like to stop by simply to watch, cheer on friends, or support a participating business, contact the Chamber to find out whether spectators are welcome and if there are any restrictions.
A Few Things to Know Before You Go
Put your team together. Bowling registrations are organized around teams of three.
Register through the Chamber. The official event page provides the sign-up information.
Ask about shoe rental. The announcement doesn't specify whether bowling shoes are included in team registration.
Check food and drinks. Contact the venue about what's available during the fundraiser and whether purchases are separate.
Ask about the event format. Details about prizes, scoring rules, and the evening's schedule have not been published.
Consider sponsoring a lane. It's an option for anyone who wants to support the fundraiser without bowling.
Make a Day of It in Cottage Grove
There's another local event happening earlier on November 21.
The South Valley Winter Farmers Market is scheduled at the Cottage Grove Armory from 10 AM to 4 PM.
That means you could spend part of your Saturday browsing local farm goods and handmade products, then head to Cottage Bowl later that evening for the Chamber's fundraiser.
You can find the Winter Farmers Market and more upcoming events on the Groovin' In The Grove Events Calendar.
